Hamn operates in the spectrum that was recently baptized with the name glitch hop. Well, not really. I think it's more intelligent than that and actually arrives at approximately the same square from a different angle. Where people like Prefuse73 start with hiphop, or some jazz groove and then add spices to that, Mark Hamn starts with the sound and then sometimes includes jazzy, groovy elements.
