TECHNOH
In the year 2000 Brian Lavelle a young student of Schotland, started one of the
earliest weblabels. In 4 years TECHNOH released 36 releases which are classics.
In 2003 TECHNOH unfortunately ceased to exist.
In
a sense I consider this label legendary, historic. Actually it
was not before 2003 that the phenomenon of netlabel or weblabel
really started to take off. So, in that sense TECHNOH is pre-history.
It was a great inspiration for Laboratoire Moderne. In
2005 I suddenly realised it was a shame this music was no longer available
so I contacted Brian Lavelle. He immediately agreed to my re-releasing
the entire catalogue. I will do so in series of three. I expect to have
the complete catalogue online by October 2006.
